Mission description:
Excited to work on a project for a key Belgian player in the energy landscape? The Belgian and European energy landscape is in full swing. Did you know that our client plays a crucial role in this? As part of a Group, a European transmission system operator, our clien ensures the reliability and sustainability of the electricity supply in our country. Side-by-side with other Contingent Workers and our staff, you will play a part in building a sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure that stimulates economic growth and reduces our ecological footprint. Only together can we make the biggest impact possible! We believe in the power of diversity:we are convinced that an inclusive and diverse work environment leads to more innovation, creativity and better results.
To contribute to Europe and Belgium’s ambitions for the Energy Transition, Our client has foreseen to extend its offshore high voltage grid, by constructing Modular Offshore Grid 2(MOG 2). The grid shall connect the new Belgian windfarms situated within the “Princess
Elisabeth Windfarm zone”.
The concept that our client is currently considering is to build and construct:
• an artificial energy island (with offshore transmission infrastructure)
• Multiple AC substations at 66kV & 220 kV (The windfarms are to be connect at the 66kV level = scope windfarm owners)
• 6x 220kV AC export cable systems of ~50 km each
• HVDC connection (1 converter offshore, 1 converter onshore, HVDC cable system) between the artificial island and the new substation ‘TBD’ of the Ventilus project
• Possibility to connect future HVDC interconnectors
General Info of the assignment:
